Hi Everyone! We have had so much fun the last couple meetings that I wanted to give anyone who might want to join us a 101 on our Home Study Book Club! A group of wonderful women meet one Friday a month to share what we made with our latest kit, make a little crafty project, and get our next kit full of wonderful goodies. Of course there is some snacking, chatting and laughing along the way! Our next meeting is Friday April 13th at 7pm and I hope you can join us, give the store a call and we will reserve your seat! Here is a little peak of our kit for this month!
I hope you are all enjoying the new book this month! After digging through all the pages of the book I am amazed and intriqued by all of the techniques! How about you? We will be covering most of them in the next couple of months. I am sure you are all creating amzaing cards to share with everyone this Sunday! Can't wait to see!

Card Home Study

For those of you who aren't currently enrolled in our Card Book Club....we want you! We are always looking for new crafting buddies and hope you will join us this week! It is a great time to join because we are just beginning a new book.
Here is how it works:
Here's how our Book Club works...you will join the book club and receive a copy of our current card idea book, along with a coordinated kit containing items such as paper, cardstock, embellishments and more for you to create with. You will take these items home, create as many cards, etc that you're inspired to and then come on back for our monthly meeting.
Our monthly meetings include the kit as well as our hands on project time at the beginning of the meeting. You will need to bring your basic tool kit, along with your new idea book and any cards or projects that you have created with your kit.
I look forward to seeing all of our current club members as well as newbies! Give the store a call if you aren't a member and would like to join us this week.

Thought you all might like to see a peek of our next wonderful kit for our Home Study Book Club's February Kit...this kit is filled with lots more wonderful things for us all to get creative with. Our HS Book Club was full for our January Meeting with just enough kits to go around to everyone...we decided we needed to make up a few additional kits for the month of February. So, we are now accepting new Home Study Book Clubbers...come on in.
Our next kit is full of beautiful patterned papers from BasicGrey, Lily Bee and Crate Paper...yes a combination kit so fun. In addition to the patterned papers is some good stuff...like beautiful ribbon and trims from Girl's Paperie, oh so beautiful buttons from Girl's Paperie as well as Buttons Galore, a coordinating ink, canvas, manilla stamped tag, tulle, felt and a few other fun items to inspire you. (all items not shown.) Along with the kit you would receive a copy of our current idea book, Scrapbooking with Fabric and Notions...love it. This is just the beginning too...we will have a hands-on project at our February Meeting, and treats will be served too...hoping you'll join us.

We would love for you to join us on Friday, January 13th at 7:00 PM for a Book Club get together. This is an open invite to anyone who is interested in finding out what our Home Study Book Club is all about. Just what will we be doing at this get together you may ask...we'll be creating a few flowers with different fabric and materials as a fun project...getting us all ready to dig into those Wonderful Kits we'll also be receiving that night. In addition to the kit everyone who joins our Home Study Book Club will receive a copy of our newest HS Book Club book, Scrapbooking with Fabric and Notions...which we know you're going to have fun looking through.
Once you get your kit (photo of kit at bottom of this post) you're going to be in love...it's wonderful. It is full of one of Teresa Collins newest paper collections, Carolina Breeze, as well as the coordinating die-cut sheet with borders, corners, phrases and more. We also chose lots of fun things to create with...beautiful velvet ribbon, tulle, binding seam tape, embroidery floss,a floss threader (so necessary), a needle, vintage pins, a Maya Road chipboard alphabet set, hook and closures and some lovely Maya Road flowers...all beautiful, coordinating, inspiring items to get that creativity flowing.
Bring a friend with you and if they join and attend three meetings we will put a $15.00 credit in each of your accounts! Now thats fun!!!

...getting excited about our upcoming Home Study Book Club Meeting taking place this coming Friday night, June 10th at 6:30 PM. We've all been having fun playing with our kit, creating with Sasafrass Lass, ribbon, Jenni Bowlin paint daubber, Fancy Pants white chipboard alphabet and some other fun embellies...looking forward to seeing what everyone has created.
In the meantime, here's a peek at the layout we'll be working on Friday night during the hands on portion of the meeting. oops...this is a peek of our My Favorite Thing's Fan Club Layout Project. Love it! I decided I needed to try a little something different for me and get distressed Tim Holtz style. So lots of distresser in works here, along with Distress inks, BasicGrey Sweet Threads paper (love love) and loads of My Favorite Things Die-namics...seems like I'm a fan or something :)

We still have one kit remaining for our Home Study Book Club Meeting if you'd like to join us, Friday, June 10th or Saturday, June 26th! Each month you receive a scrap kit to play with at home, creating to your little hearts content, working with all the fun things you learn in our current idea book. Then the night of meeting, you bring your book and all the layouts, projects, etc that you've created with the kit and more. We all share what we've created, chat, and work on a layout that night too. Lots of fun.
