Right at Home Scrapbooking

Well, hello!

Hi there!  It's me...Frances!!  Yes, I know it has been a long time.  Things have been busy, very busy.  My kiddos have me running these days to and fro and the pace of my job also increases this time of year.  So I took a bit of a break, but I am back...so excited to be back!   

And of course if I am posting I must have a few things to share...here's a look!

Boys and Their Toys

First off, the title...I know waaaaaaaayyy predictable.  But sometimes the title that has been used and used again, is just ok, right?  Moving on...how about that Echo Park A Boy's Life?  Just the perfect mix of colors that scream B-O-Y!!  And just like everyone else these days, I am kinda enjoying pennants.  It was the perfect way for me to include just about every pattern paper in the pack.  Love that!!

His Favorite Book

Again, just the perfect color combo for my little fella.  Most of the stickers that coordinate with this paper involve cars and such, so I created my own embellies...stars!  I just folded the paper in half so my cuts would be the same and cut out one side of a star.  Open it up and ta-da!!!  A star!!  I know you have to remember doing this in grade school, right?

How much are you loving the Christmas tags?  I am getting sooooo much inspiration from them all.  I plan to make a few tags, add them to cards, and even add them to layouts!  Great job ladies!

Getting Ready For Halloween...You?

Happy Early Halloween RAH Ladies!!  I have been busy, busy around my house getting ready for Halloween!  I took the kids a couple of weekends ago shopping to look for spooky, scary stuff to display in our home.  We bought spider webs, jack-o-lanterns, orange lights, and spiders...lot of spiders!  I did, however, had to contribute in my own way.  I decided to create these fellas...

BOO Frames

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper and Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper Spooky & Kooky

These frames were sooooo easy to create!  I bought these 3 frames from the crafting section at Wal-Mart at $2 bucks each, and the journey began.  I painted each of them matte black with lime green on the sides.  I doodled around the the openings of the frame to add a bit because they were looking a bit boring.  And from there, I pulled out my Cricut.  I used the Happy Hauntings Cartridge and here are the cuts...

A Fall Double and a TIP!!

Hi ya!  Frances here with a fun FALL layout and a fun TIP!  I don't know about you, but this is the time of year where I begin to take a TON of photos...playing in the leaves, playing outside, Fall festivities...TONS!!  Here is a double layout just perfect for a BUNCH of Fall photos!

Fun @ the Fall Carnival!

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Dark turquoise, gold, kraft, chocolate brown, white, and olive green, Patterned Paper: Bella Blvd. Finally Fall, Carstock Stickers: Bella Blvd. Finally Fall, Alphas: Bella Blvd. Finally Fall and American Crafts Thickers, and Misc: Twine, buttons, brads, coordinating chalk. 

Did you count?  8 photos...gotta love that!  Another thing that makes me totally happy is Bella Blvd.'s Finally Fall Collection!  I really do love everything they put out, but I do love a fun Fall collection.  This collection was the perfect bit of whimsy for the pics of my girls playing at our school's Fall Carnival! 

And I did mention a tip...remember?  Well, every month I will be here sharing how I create handmade embellishments on my layouts.  This month I created the leaves that you see sprinkled around my layout.  The leaves were soooo super easy to create!  To create the leaves, I went to the "Clip Art" feature of my computer, searched for leaves, printed them, cut them out, traced them on patterned paper, cut them out, and DONE!!! The cutest little leaves around!!  I do this trick ALL of the time...so easy.
