Aaaah, Sweet Summery Strawberries

Lisa gave me this fruit basket to work with this month and when I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  I love strawberries and knew I had found this paper strawberry template that I wanted to try out.  I cut the strawberries out of red cardstock using the template and the tops from green cardstock.  I ran the strawberry shape through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I then punched a hole in each spot indicated in the pattern and threaded through the twine and pulled it tight and tied it off.  I then added the top and tied a bow.  So easy and such a beautiful presentation.

My Little Scientist

Hi again everyone...so happy to back with another fun card to share.  I'm not sure if you all knew but my daughter is a senior in high school this year, and will be attending Georgia Tech in the Fall to study Materials Science and Engineering.  One of her favorite classes is Chemistry.  So you can only imagine how excited I was when Lisa and Sharon gave me the My Favorite Things Scientist set to create with.  I used the Jillibean Soup Atomic Soup line of papers for this card along with some Bo Bunny Double Dot papers, the perfect concoction. I also worked with a few of My Favorite Things Dienamics to create the two flowers, and mixed in some twine from the Twinery to finish off my SRM tube.

I was having so much fun with my MFT Stamps that I decided to create a matching treat tube to go along with this card.  Colleen will be working so hard with AP tests and finishing up her Senior Year, that I thought this would be a nice little treat for her.  The tubes are available at the store and are from SRM Press.

Giddy Up Little Cow Girl...

Howdy y'all, Anita here.  I had such a fun time making this Country Girl card with the Pure Innocence Cowgirl stamp set from My Favorite Things.  I was so excited to work with this adorable stamp set as my daughter is a country girl, and working with this stamp set made me happy.  I also love this Sasparilla line from October Afternoon, just so cute and just so perfect for this stamp and die set.

 

Items used...October Afternoon Sasparilla paper collection, My Favorite Things Pure Innocense Cowgirl stamp, My Favorite Things Country Charms and Woodgrain Fence Dienamics, along with The Twinery Twine and Jute.

The most fun I had though, was taking a can from the Arnold Palmer drink and cutting it apart to use with my My Favorite Things Country Charms Dienamics.  I simply used the MFT dies that match this set of Pure Innocence stamps and ran them through my die cut machine.  I found that you got more of the embossed detail from the MFT Dienmanics if you cut the shapes with an extra metal shim.

Christmas Holiday Event Day 10

Wow, can you believe that we have been enjoying ten days of our 12 day celebration already?  This was a fun and easy tag to create.  I used the MFT Tag You're It set to die cut my tag.  I then ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss the snowflakes with the Sizzix snowflakes embossing folder.  Next I used some lovely, very shiny silver paper that Lisa has in the store to run through the Crisp Bows Die cut from Memory Box.  I then cut out a five pointed star from BoBunny Blitzen Collection, which I really love.  I usually cut out the star from white printer paper and then put the template on the back of the patterned paper that I want to use and cut out the shape.  I turned the star over and used my Scor-
Pal to score from each point straight down the star.  I kept turning the star and scoring from each point until all five were done.  Lay your star on your work space and I grabbed each star point and squeezed it together with my fingers to the center of the star.  Do this for each point and you will automatically end up with hills and valleys which will make your star 3D.  When adhering the star I used five smaller pop dots to prop up the center of the star and to make sure that it would reach my tag.  I glued all the other touching parts of the star to the tag.  Add a ribbon piece to the top and you are done.

On the second day of Christmas my dear friends I give to thee another holiday tag for all to see.

Hello Everyone:

I trust that everyone is having a wonderful December.  As Kathy explained yesterday we are going to have 12 days of holiday goodness for you.  I made this fun tag with some great items that Lisa has in the store.

Ribbon:  from my personal stash
Card Stock:  Neenah

I cut the tag from my MFT die and then set it aside.  I then used the MFT Loopy Bloom die and cut it out of felt.  I glued the two long ends together so that they formed a long tube.  I laid it on the tag, forming a circle and cut off the extra that I didn't need.  I glued the wreath down with Beacon's 3 in 1 Advanced Craft Glue, which is my favorite wet glue and then added the bow and the berries.  I stamped the sentiment next and then strung some twine through the hole at the top of the tag.
