Hi Everyone! Just wanted to stop by and share 3 quick layouts using the Basic Grey Hipster line. My sister has 3 boys so it wouldn’t have been fair to only scrap one of them—luckily this paper is perfect for all of those boy photos you have laying around!
For this layout I first misted the background and then built up the layout using layers of paper and embellishments to emphasize the photo. Mixing alphabets gives it a nice touch—and is a simple way to journal so you can remember which baby it is- especially since 2 of my nephews look similar at birth!
Paper: 12x12 White Bazzill Paper, Basic Grey Hipster 6x6 Paper Pad
Tools: Mr. Huey Mist in Leaf Green
Embellishments: Basic Grey Hipster Sticker Sheet, Corrugated Alphabet by Pebbles, American Craft Green Thickers, Basic Grey Wood Veneers
For this layout I created a quilted pattern using the 6x6 Basic Grey Paper pad. I’m really loving using my 3x3 photos from Instagram- and the size really works with the 6x6 paper pad when trying to make blocks of paper. I finished it off using simple embellishments and voila, layout complete!

Embellishments: Basic Grey Hipster Sticker Sheet, Jillibean Soup Alphabet, Queen and Company Goosebumps Bling, Basic Grey Wood Veneers
Sometimes I forget how a simple technique like paper tearing can make a layout. I started by ripping some of the 6x6 Basic Grey Hipster paper pack into strips and placed them on the top of the layout. I then just matted my 4x6 photo on a 6x6 paper sheet and used the “Awesome” from the Hipster Wood Veneer pack as my title. The enamel dots from My Minds Eye were a perfect way to add in “bling” but in a less flashy way for a boy.
