Happy Saturday!! Frances here with a bit of an astonished look on my face (I know you can't see it, but it is there...really). So, Lisa sent me this totally gorgeous Lost & Found Breeze 6 X 6 Paper pad...I LOVE that paper. And as happy as I am to always get goodies from Right at Home, my first thought was to make cards, right? Uh-no. She wants me to use that baby on a layout! For some, this may be nothing at all of a challenge, but for me it kinda is. I am a same-same kind of gal...I like what I like and I tend to not deviate from my comfort zone. One problem that I thought I was going to have from the beginning was what to do with such little paper sizes...I like paper...a lot. But I quickly remedied that problem by deciding to create a grid layout...check!! Here is what I came up with...
A Bit Curious
I quickly discovered that I really did not mind the 6 X 6 pad...not at all!! One reason, I like tight patterns, and the scale of the patterns are smaller with the pad. Basically, they did not take a 12 X 12 piece of scrapbook paper and cut it up...they shrunk it! Reason 2, there are 2 of every paper in the pad. Fabulous!! That's how I was able to create the pennant in the top left corner of my layout. I fussy cut the pennant from one of the papers and attached it to my layout. I then cut the shapes from the other paper in the pad and popped them up! Usually, you can't do this...unless if you think ahead of time when you are shopping to get 2 pieces of a certain paper.
So, there you have it...I love 6 X 6 paper pads. And I thought this was going to be a boring Saturday! LOL! See ya soon, Frances.
