This month, Lisa challenged the ladies on the Design Team here at Right at Home to create an artist trading card. An artist trading card (or ATC for short) is a tiny, original piece of art created with the intention of swapping or trading it with another artist. The one rule an artist trading card must adhere to is the size. An ATC must be 2.5x3.5 inches. Why? That's the size of the original collectible sport trading cards.
Artist trading cards can be made in any medium and using any technique, whether it's painting, drawing, or collage. You are really limited only by your imagination and materials. Here's what some of the team created:
Key to my Heart ATC by Lynn Kopas
Children are Like Snowflakes ATC by Cory Mace
As you can see, each card is as unique as the person who created it! Lynn chose to create a distressed, dimensional card using multi media techniques. Cory showcased some paper piercing and stitching. Anita added some texture to hers with some lace, canvas and twine and I went the humorous route with a crazy cat created from many layers of patterned paper.
If you're interested in creating ATCs, Right at Home has lots of supplies to help you create you own mini work of art! Make sure to check in at the end of the month when Holly will showcase the other DT member's ATCs!

So fun :)
