Hey scrappers, Donna here, finally getting into the rhythm of life in the new house. It took quite a few weeks, but I must say - it is Delovely. And speaking of DeLovely, lets talk Delovely, Cosmo Cricket style!!
I was thrilled when Lisa gave me this collection to create with. In fact, I loved it. It took me a while to get to a room that wasn't an obstacle course of boxes to create in, but when I finally got to, I loved it even more.
Cosmo’s blog has boasted of this collection that “Its DeLightful, its Delicious, its DeLovely” and man……they are so right. Oh, I adored the bright, vivid yellows, pinks, blues and greens in this collection. Each and every paper is aptly named………there’s “delightful”, “delirious”, “delicious” and “delectable” to name a few – perfect names for what I dare say I found were to be perfect papers. There are flowers and stripes and these adorable chicklets. In addition to the papers, there are fabulous cardstock weight stickers, a 12” x 12” sheet of elements. 12” x 12” sheet of borders, ready set chipboard pieces and yummy turquoise and hot pink mini alphabet stickers. Each and every element perfectly compliments the papers.
OK, so I couldn’t help but scrap photos somehow relating to our new digs……
First up, “peonies in our new back yard”………the pink of the peonies were a perfect (DeLovely) match for this collection. Simply a few punched circles from the Delimit paper adhered to the page with pop dots (with yellow brads in their centers) a strip of Delightful, a strip of Delimit and two chipboard border pieces from the chipboard sheet at the top made this layout really pop with color.
For some added interest, I cut one of the thin border stickers in half and used it at the bottom of the photo, pulled a piece of cool open, yellow trim through a punched hole and secured it end to end with a tiny staple at its side.
Here, on the bottom edge of the photo, I layered several chipboard flowers over pink tissue paper flowers.
The American Crafts/Dear Lizzy puffy yellow alphabet was the perfect choice with this collection - Lisa gets credit for that. Adhered to the piece of chipboard, it gives a bit more dimension to the page and looks “Delicious” atop of the pink mini alphabet. And see the bling that matches so well? BoBunny's "Sophie" Candy Jewels.
On my second layout, “sold”, I wanted to make the best of displaying all the “DeLovely” colors and patterns in these papers and also wanted this layout to be a “thick” one. A piece of “Delicious” with a strip of “Deluxe” serves as the layout base (used another thin 12” border sticker on top of the strip of “Deluxe”). To it, I added the negative portion of the punched circles from the “peonies” layout. The photo is matted on a piece of bright green dotted cardstock.
On this layout, I did a little rolling, and then a little more………….I cut several small pieces of the different designs, wrapped them around a pencil and then adhered them to create small tubes. I wove a piece of ribbon behind the rolls and then adhered the rolls to the layout.
I inserted stems from several of the chipboard flowers into some of the tube centers.
A frame from the chipboard sheet was perfect for the cut out “Capture the Moment” from the elements sheet. And here again, the puffy alphabet is perfect……..half of it on the rolls, the other on the photo.
I had a ton of fun creating with "DeLovely" and I haven't finished with it just yet. Its one of those collections that inspires you, one of those collections that you don't want to put down. The colors are vibrant, the design patterns are perfect , not overdone.
Head on over to RAH and make yours a "DeLovely" day!

Donna, these are great! Love the little "tube" vases. Great to have you back with us!
