Hi Everyone,
Well Cory started the Mini Madness craze off on Wednesday, and I'm here to continue with one of the most fun Mini Albums I've ever worked on!
To coordinate with the fun summer colors of We R Memory Keeper's 72 and Sunny Line, Lisa gave me a pail shaped album to work with. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had the perfect pictures for it...my daughter's first trip to the beach. ( Of course this shows how far behind I am in scrapping some things... my daughter will be 12 in July... )
On the cover I used some fun corrugated cardboard letters for my title. I painted, inked and covered them with sand to make them more "beachy".
The sand paint is new from Mudpuddles.net and is available at Right at Home. I also took the monthly challenge and doodled on every page of my mini.
I had so many pictures that I decided to print some smaller ones to fit more on a page. I had fun with Stickles on the dots of my seahorse and colored some Dew Drops with alcohol ink to make bubbles for my fish.
Lisa also included a fun acrylic page with my mini, so I decided to make it look like all the pails my daughter has ever brought to the beach... full of water and minnows!
I alcohol inked the page to make it look like water and pop-dotted some fish so they looked like they were swimming. For the other page I pleated some paper to make a pretty border.
In order to make the acrylic page work, I had to make sure to put more fish and my picture directly behind the ones on the other side. My last page has one of my favorite photos. I may not be the best as far as composition, but I just love the little chubby legs as she runs toward the water.
I used more sand paint to "fill" my pail and also put some on my shovel.
So that's my mini! I had so much fun making this and looking over my old pictures. Stop by Right at Home to pick up some supplies to make your own mini! They make great gifts for all those special people we celebrate this time of year! See you next month!
