Hey scrappers, Donna here, following Cory and Kathy with more mini-album madness! Did someone say flip flop?
I love a good pair of flip flops for sure. Give me the Roxy, give me the Haviana's or give me a casual pair of Reefs and I'll love them. But, what I loved even more, after this month anyway, was the simply adorable flip flop shaped album Lisa gave me to work with this month! Yep - an album in the shape of a flip flop It doesn't get much better than that and everyone is going to need one of these for their summer photos.
I loved Bo Bunny's colorful, summery "flower child" line and used it again, as earlier in the month for my layouts, in the creating of this album. It was perfect to get the fun feel I was looking for!
I too, was provided with an acrylic page for my album and decided to use it as a cover - just to change it up a bit. I had a blast decorating it! I used a bit of ribbon to crate the look of the thong and then layered a few of the "Flower Child" flower stickers with some cloth flowers and a beaded brad. I love how the title of the mini peeks through from the other front cover.
This was one of those albums that just kept getting more fun as I went along.
I wanted to keep the fun feel of the book going, so I decided to have one tag serve as the journaling for the entire album. I dry brushed a tag with acrylic paint and then mixed stamping and dynamo labels matted on paper for the journaling and then just inserted the tag on the ring that binds the book.
I also threw in a few extra photos, allowing them to be their own pages. A quick circle punch stapled to the photos made great tabs!
And some letter stickers directly on photos in this one - more fun!
And another loose photo, with letter stickers,
and this time, a flower serving as a tab.
I dated the album on the back,
and answered this month's challenge with a bit of doodling around all the edges of each page.
I had a blast with this.
We all need a great pair of flip flops for the summer but remember, this year, you need a great flip flop mini album too! Get to the store and get to the die cut machine!!!!!

I couldn't think of a more perfect shape for "Mrs. Summer Lovin" Donna! Your mini is so cute, and a PERFECT die cut for those who are in next month's Pine Cone Press Club. Great job!
