Hello Everyone !! I hope you are all doing well !! I wanted to hop on and share my March Design Team projects with you. I had the opportunity to use Cosmo Cricket's "Garden Variety" collection for my projects !! This is a colorful line with reds, greens, yellows and oranges that are great for practically any occasion. The chipboard and elements that coordinate with the collection are so much fun !!
For my first layout I used Frances's March Sketch which I altered and put my own twist on !! I substituted photos for the blocks of patterend paper on the sketch, and I did some inking and distressing... shocking I know !! LOL !!
For my flower embellishments I made some really fun spiral flowers and added some chipboard pieces and pearl bling for the flower centers !! These flowers really add dimension to the page and can be made as big or small as you'd like !!
For my second layout I wanted to showcase some olders photos I took of Joshua when we went strawberry picking at Ward's Berry Frarm. The "Garden Variety" collection contains several strawberry elements that went PERFECTLY with my photos !!
I did alot of layering on this page and used one of my latest FAVS ... corrugated cardboard !! I mounted the center photo on the inked cardboard to make it stand out and I cut some cardboard circles and tucked them under the layers and on the embellishment cluster on the top of the page.
I tucked some pins into this cluster and added some buttons and more chipboard ...
I wanted to add alot of dimension to my next page so I punched some circles into a strip of paper, popped the strip off the page with foam tape and added more spiral flowers to the circles.
I put different styles and sizes of brads in the flower centers for added interest !! I also used a little mist in the upper corner to fill in the "white space" ... cuz you know I LOVE misting now !
My final layout contains several flowers made of various circle punched papers in different sizes. I crinkled and inked them and added some chipboard and brads. For another flower I used thick twine which I simply wrapped in a circle and added a brad center !!
Thanks for looking and please stop by the store and check out this adorable collection !! See you next month !!
