I'm back! When I opened up my box of goodies for July and saw that it was Fancy Pants Summer Soiree, there were two things I could not wait to get my hands on...#1 that adorable splash paper and #2 the sun ray paper. Well, surprise, surprise, it is exactly what I have to share with you today. Take a look...
"Splash Zone"
I'm telling ya...I was totally meant to work with this line this month. Do you ever have those moments when you see the paper and embellishments and ya just know what you want to do? Well this was the layout. I knew that I was going to chop up the gorgeous splash paper, have it peeking out from behind my pic, and bead the entire thing to mimic true water. The progress of the splash was slow, but totally worth it. I just ran a line of crystal accents and added the beads along the outside edge...just perfect! Now, layout #2..."Feel the Warmth of the Sun"
Goodness gracious...could the paper have gone any better? First off, that kid...I just love that pic and it is screaming for some Summer Soiree, don't ya think? The patterned paper mimics sun rays and to give it a little something, I machine stitched some of the rays coming out of the pic. I once again, chopped up the paper...that sun and clouds are already like that. I just added a few threaded buttons to add dimension to the sun. I used a couple of strips of pattered paper, ribbon, and Fancy Pants rub-ons, and I called it a day. I must say...I am not a fan of rub-ons, but these...I love them. Once I added the blue flourish, I felt that adding the stars would be even better.
So let's see...3 layouts so far and 2 to go! I will have a total of 5 layouts from the Summer Soiree line, all unique. I can not believe, except for the overused orange cardstock, how different the layouts are! Just goes to show you how versatile the Summer Soiree line really is.
Enjoyed sharing...See ya Soon!
