I just LOVE Bo Bunny's Calypso line. The colors are bold and bright and they are VERY fun to work with. When I took a peek in my bag this month, I immediately had pictures in mind to scrap with these great papers.
For my first layout, I was inspired by the waves on the Calypso Life paper. It immediately made me think of our day at Coco Cay in the Bahamas. The stripes on the back added a bit of color and brought out some of the colors in my daughter's bathing suit. I added Stickles to some areas of the wave and of course to my little crab at the bottom for a little sparkle (you can never have too much sparkle...). I think all of the colors really complimented the tropical feel of the pictures.
When I saw the flowers on the Calypso Hope paper, I immediately thought of the dress my daugther wore on her 10th birthday. The colors were a perfect match.
To accent the florals on the paper, I cut some flowers in coordinating Bazzill cardstock. They looked a bit boring placed flat on the layout, so I decided to fold them a bit to make them pop out. Add some Calypso stickers, some buttons and my "garden" was complete.
And a note of encouragement to all those folks who feel they are far behind in scrapping... My daughter's 11th birthday was this past weekend.. so I'm right there with you!
